Next2 Istanbul: Affordable and Quiet near İstiklal

Our honest experience at Next2 Istanbul: big rooms, a quiet side street right by İstiklal and great value for money – with one drawback.

Sometimes I simply want: to stay centrally, have a decent room, have enough space and not pay unnecessarily much.

That's exactly what Next2 was really good for with us.

The Location: İstiklal Almost on the Doorstep – but Not in the Middle of the Noise

İstiklal is lively. People. Music. Restaurants. Bars. Shops. Until late. Very late. 😂

But if you just go a little way into the side streets, that changes immediately.

Next2 is at: Kuloğlu, Koca Ağa Sokak No:10, Beyoğlu.

Current Booking data rate the location 9.3 out of 10.

Our Room: Really Big

We had a large room for the four of us with four beds and a bathroom. It wasn't: “We call it a family room because we squeezed two extra beds in somewhere.” We really had space.

Our Price Back Then: Not Even 200 Euros for Three Nights

That was of course our booking price back then. Not a current fixed price. But back then we paid not even 200 euros for three nights.

And for that location? For that room size? For me that was really strong.

We've been in hotels with more stars and considerably higher prices where I thought: How can that be? You pay 500 euros and then you'd prefer not to touch anything. 😂

Then I'd rather take an honest mid-range hotel that is clean, centrally located and does its job.

What Do Current Data Say?

Next2 is currently listed as a small 3-star hotel with only around eleven rooms. Booking currently rates location, cleanliness, comfort, value for money and staff very decently.

The Drawback: Wooden Floors and Thin Walls

The house has wooden floors. And old wooden floors have a special ability: they reliably inform you when somebody walks above you. 😂

We heard the footsteps of the people above us. If you are very sensitive to noise, you should know that.

For that price and that location it didn't bother us enough for me to advise against it.

Who Is Next2 Suitable For?

• want to stay very centrally
• want to reach İstiklal and Taksim quickly
• don't necessarily need luxury
• are looking for good value for money
• or are only staying one to three days
