Continental Hotel Pera: Our Experience between Galata & İstiklal

Our experience at the Continental Hotel Pera: modern rooms, kitchen, metro almost on the doorstep, the Galata Tower in a few minutes and a great view from the restaurant.

At the Continental Hotel Pera? Yes. Actually immediately.

For me this was one of those hotels where a lot came together: location. Rooms. Furnishings. Public transport. Galata. And of course that view at the top.

The Location: Exactly between Several Worlds

The hotel is at: Evliya Çelebi, Meşrutiyet Caddesi No:96, Beyoğlu.

You're quickly at the Galata Tower. You're quickly on İstiklal. Şişhane metro is practically around the corner.

Current booking data give the location around 9.5/10.

Galata Tower in a Few Minutes

From the hotel you're in Galata in a few minutes. And anyone who knows me knows: if a Galata Tower is in sight anywhere, I'm happy. 😂

Our Accommodation: Modern and Nicely Furnished

Our rooms were really nice. Modern kitchen. Beautiful furniture. Everything seemed tidy and coherent. I like it when a hotel is modern but not cold. And during our stay I had exactly that feeling.

The Restaurant at the Top: My Highlight

At the top of the hotel there is a restaurant/breakfast area. I think it was about the eighth floor.

And the view towards the Galata Tower? A dream. Really. You sit up there and look at Galata.

The Breakfast

We had breakfast there and found it very good. And especially when breakfast + view come together, the day simply starts differently.

Metro in a Few Minutes

Şişhane is really close. And those who come to Istanbul for the first time often underestimate how much more pleasant a hotel becomes when a good transport hub is right there.

Galata or İstiklal – You Don't Have to Decide

Many ask: should I book Galata? Or İstiklal? At the Continental you're somehow in between. And I find that really good.

Who Does the Continental Hotel Pera Suit?

• want to stay centrally
• love Galata
• also want to reach İstiklal quickly

Every time. Of course in the end it always depends on the current price. But purely from our stay: absolutely.
